The pottery studio Laboratorio Castello was started in 1992 by Giorgio Ricciardi after his diploma from Milan Politechnical Design School. He experienced ceramics in Italy and abroad before opening his own workshop.

His first production is stoneware with his own clays and glazes and he takes part in fairs and markets .His forms are thin and plain.

During the following years he also contributes to several designers on short-run series, working mainly and specializing in porcelain.
